Noam Chomsky, an internationally recognized commentator, writes
a monthly world-affairs column for The New York Times Syndicate,
available in English and Spanish.
Chomsky is a professor of linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology and author, most recently, of “Hegemony or
Survival: America’s Quest for Global Dominance.” In
2003, the United Nation’s Society of Writers honored Chomsky
with an award of excellence whose citation reads: “You stayed
calm in the clash of civilizations, but recorded the conflict
in a uniquely sober and persuasive style.”
